Released in January 2024, the lemon-lime flavor of Rockstar's new flagship series "ROCKSTAR FOCUS" was launched with three flavors simultaneously in the U.S. and seven flavors in the western U.S.
This 355ml can series, with its zero-sugar and clean impression, aims to compete with the CELSIUS series, which has significantly risen in popularity, surpassing Rockstar in the American market.

Taste of ROCKSTAR FOCUS LEMON LIME
When opened, there is no strong burst of fragrance; just a subtle hint of citrus fruit. The drink is clear and colorless, and when poured into a glass, the bubbles from the carbonation spread the scent of lime. However, the fragrance is still quite mild... Let's take a sip.
Upon tasting, the moderately sour, crisp lemon-lime flavor blends in smoothly with a refreshing drinkability. The flavor doesn’t carry the full richness of lemon or lime fruit, but rather resembles a lightly flavored water with just a hint of tartness and sweetness. Therefore, the aftertaste doesn't retain the citrus fruit notes, which may leave some feeling the drink lacks depth.
Drinking it with plenty of ice, rather than at a refrigerated temperature, increases the refreshing sensation due to the carbonation, allowing you to enjoy the fresh lemon-lime flavor even more. This is incredibly delicious!
Chilling the drink with ice boosts the refreshing carbonation that might be hard to notice at room temperature or in the fridge. It heightens the throat feel and sharpness. It could even be said that it is designed to be enjoyed with ice.
Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR FOCUS LEMON LIME
Contains 200mg of caffeine, lion's mane mushroom, milk thistle, taurine, and guarana.
Lion's mane mushroom is a distinctive ingredient in the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series, and I have never seen it in other energy drinks. It is said to have various beneficial effects, but since research on its effectiveness is not sufficient, it seems to be included as an image ingredient.
Design of ROCKSTAR FOCUS LEMON LIME
The design gives a clean impression with a white base and lime green, the flavor color.
The straight star logo is placed small, and the balance of the brand and series name placement, as well as the spacing of the logos, feels just right. The design is like a textbook example, where you can see the flavor and main ingredients directly from the front when viewed on the shelf.
Despite Rockstar continuing with what can only be described as a major design flaw for over five years, the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series has perfect colors and design.
The ingredients listed on the front are also printed on the side, probably just to fill empty space.
ROCKSTAR FOCUS appears to be a new series created to compete with CELSIUS, the most rapidly growing brand in the U.S.
The clean, simple design with a health-conscious ingredient structure in a 355ml slim can clearly targets CELSIUS. Before the release, only three flavors were announced, so the impact seemed a bit weak. However, when the product hit the shelves, seven flavors were released simultaneously, including some that hadn’t been disclosed initially. Clearly, a lot of effort went into this.
The brand image was even shifting as nearly all posts on social media were filled with the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series.
Personally, I love both the product and the social media-friendly content associated with the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series. I hope they discontinue the outdated series and focus even more on expanding the ROCKSTAR FOCUS line.
