The signature light taste of the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series doesn’t linger in your mouth, and the aftertaste fades quickly. With the refreshing sensation of carbonation, it’s so easy to drink that I find myself finishing the 355ml can in no time.
Although it’s sugar-free, there’s no unpleasant taste from artificial sweeteners, and it avoids turning into a cheap candy flavor. Instead, it lets me enjoy the deliciousness of mango and passion fruit.
The high-quality flavoring is perfectly balanced, neither too overpowering nor weak. The taste is not overly sweet, with no off-flavors, resulting in a drink that’s smooth, refreshing, and natural.
It’s also great with ice, though I feel the mango flavor can be completely lost that way. Personally, I think the best temperature to enjoy it is chilled.
As I mentioned earlier, this is because the flavoring isn’t too strong. I believe the perfect balance of taste and aroma is achieved when chilled.
Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR FOCUS PASSIONFRUIT MANGO
Contains 200mg of caffeine, lion’s mane mushroom, milk thistle, taurine, and guarana.
The lion’s mane mushroom is a unique ingredient in the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series, and I haven’t seen it used in any other energy drinks. While it’s said to have various benefits, research on its effectiveness is still insufficient, so it seems best to consider it as a feature for image purposes.
Design of ROCKSTAR FOCUS PASSIONFRUIT MANGO
The design is simple, with white, black, and the flavor color, and the slim 355ml can gives off a stylish impression. This design seems to be inspired by the CELSIUS series, which continues to grow in popularity in the US.
This is a complete departure from the poor designs Rockstar has had for several years. The flavor name, logo, brand name, series name, and key ingredients are all balanced and prominently displayed on the front.
This simple and obvious design choice is something Rockstar has struggled with in the past, which I think contributed to a noticeable decline in the brand's image.
On the side of the can, there are icons for the key ingredients.
Among energy drinks in the US, brands like CELSIUS, which are stylish, clean, and promote a healthy, aspirational lifestyle for young people, continue to grow.
CELSIUS has successfully appealed to demographics that never previously drank energy drinks, and I think Rockstar FOCUS series was designed with that in mind, leading to the launch of seven different flavors at once.
In fact, Rockstar has released countless flavors, but since January 2024, information about the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series has been consistently featured on their official website and social media.
It’s surprising to see them promoting over 20 flavors regularly, far more than the original ones.
While it might be difficult for Rockstar to regain the market share lost to CELSIUS, I personally enjoy the stylish design, clear taste, and modern promotions of the ROCKSTAR FOCUS series, and I hope it continues to be available for a long time.
