ROCKSTAR ICED
This is a review of the Rockstar Iced Tea, released in 2012.
I wonder why it wasn’t included in the same series as the Recovery Lemonade Tea... Rockstar certainly has many mysteries.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of ROCKSTAR ICED
Upon opening and while pouring into a glass, the aroma of tea leaves is very strong, and the sweet, gentle peach scent is almost nonexistent. The aroma of the tea itself is so intense that it's hard to discern the flavor just by smell.
As for the taste, it's quite gentle, like a regular peach tea, which is different from the deep color and aroma (●´ω`●). The strength of the tea leaves isn't as intense as the smell suggests, and the drink feels refreshing. However, there’s not much to set it apart.
I think anyone could enjoy this peach tea flavor, but the flashy packaging doesn’t really match the flavor. There’s nothing special about the flavor; it’s just a regular peach tea flavor, which makes me wonder why the design is so flashy.
I'm not sure if this was intended to compete with Monster’s Rehab series, but I don’t think anyone would buy ROCKSTAR ICED just to drink peach tea. It feels like the Rehab series kept releasing consistent flavors, which made ROCKSTAR ICED struggle to make its mark.
Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR ICED
With 240mg of caffeine, it’s highly concentrated. Other ingredients include 2000mg of taurine, 100mg of ginseng, 50mg of carnitine, and 50mg of guarana. As a major energy drink brand, this has a surprisingly intense blend. (^_^;)
It also contains 20kcal and zero sugar, making it a relatively healthy option. Tea-based energy drinks tend to have a bit of a health-conscious vibe, don’t they? That said, the energy blend here is quite potent.
Design of ROCKSTAR ICED is Outstanding
Rockstar is known for its amazing designs, and this ROCKSTAR ICED is among my top favorites. The body, with a rich gold color and the faded Rockstar logo, makes a significant impact right from the start.
The silver glitter on the "ICED" and "STAR" adds a level of sparkle that is quite intense. The glitter is printed in such a way that it sparkles at certain angles.
These details are well complemented with a black finish, giving the design a sense of weight and sophistication. The matte texture on top adds a touch of luxury. If it were just a glossy print with this color, it would feel cheap, but Rockstar’s designs always stand out in their own class.
The black top with the gold tab perfectly aligns with the overall image, making it look absolutely beautiful (●´ω`●).
By the way, ROCKSTAR ICED is, of course, a non-carbonated, shake-type energy drink, but it’s surprisingly 473ml in size. Personally, I appreciate having more, as it’s still easy to shake even at full size (*´艸`*).
