When I tasted it, I expected the flavor to be acai berry, but the main flavor is a citrus soda that is very similar to Mountain Dew. The aftertaste leaves a light sweetness and acidity from artificial sweeteners, giving it a slight impression of a lesser version of Mountain Dew (^_^;)

The acai flavor is barely noticeable, and it mixes too much with the sugary punch flavor and citrus, so there is no refreshing acai taste. Honestly, even when poured into a glass, it doesn't feel like a Rockstar drink—it's just an ordinary soda. It’s quite disappointing (ヽ´ω`)

I've had several citrus punch drinks, and I feel like balancing the flavor is difficult. The acidity is strong, and it almost reminds me of a cheap citric acid soda.

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR PUNCHED Acai Berry Citrus Punch

The energy ingredients are impressive, with 240mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 50mg of guarana, 50mg of carnitine, 50mg of ginseng, and 300mg of ginkgo biloba extract as the main ingredients.
The amount of caffeine and taurine at this level has been common in major energy drinks for a long time. The total energy blend is 2800mg, and it's interesting to see the detailed ingredient breakdown in this old style of labeling.

Recently, energy drinks, including Rockstar and Monster, often have more general labeling. Many don’t even have the energy blend section anymore. The older design styles are still quite fascinating (●´ω｀●)

This Acai Berry Citrus Punch comes in the old design, which is now almost impossible to find. All the other Punch series also started with this iconic design before transitioning to the new look.
This is a rare can from when I returned to the US in 2008, and I really wanted to get it. It's almost impossible to find this in stores today with the original contents inside.

In Europe, this old design is used for the 500ml can, but I wanted to hold onto the nostalgic US version (a strange obsession). If possible, I’d love to collect more of the iconic 473ml cans.
