Its quality is so impressive that you wouldn’t believe it’s zero-calorie and zero-sugar! As a zero-calorie grape flavor, it’s on a top-tier level of deliciousness and reliability—a must-try zero-zero grape drink for everyone.

The can design and flavor seem to be directly competing with Monster Ultra Violet. In fact, since it was released after Ultra Violet, Rockstar clearly sees it as a rival. It’s a very Rockstar-like move, but honestly, Pure Zero Grape offers a more classic grape flavor—and it’s amazing.

No Real Fruitiness—But Pure Zero Grape Masters Zero-Zero Grape Juice Flavor

It doesn’t have the natural tannins or fresh, sweet-tart notes of real grapes. Compared to the similarly styled Monster Energy Ultra Violet, which also achieves a great zero-zero taste, Ultra Violet has the distinct Ultra Series aftertaste (especially notable in Zero Ultra), making it less of a pure grape experience. In that sense, Rockstar Pure Zero Grape feels like the ultimate expression of a classic zero-zero grape flavor and deserves high praise.

Although some other Pure Zero cans eventually switched to a smooth surface, I personally prefer the rough texture. The silver areas have an embossed look, giving the surface a scratched-metal effect that’s beautifully rugged. I love this textured feel!
That said, Pure Zero Grape exists in both rough and smooth versions... but I think the rough texture wins for me!

There’s also a version with a lighter purple tone and a purple Rockstar logo. Some people mistakenly call this a “pre-release,” but it was actually a regularly sold variant—so don’t be misled. However, it was distributed in limited areas and stores, and I only spotted it a few times during my visits.
The tab is purple—a classic touch for a staple grape flavor that surprisingly hadn’t been done before. With its incredible taste, it’s hard to imagine this flavor being discontinued anytime soon. It’s here to stay as a staple.
