The ROCKSTAR PURE ZERO #TMGS was initially released as an AMPM exclusive in 2018. After it became available nationwide, the "#TMGS" label was removed. This design of the ROCKSTAR PURE ZERO TANGERINE MANGO GUAVA STRAWBERRY was released after the acquisition by PepsiCo.

"#TMGS" was a catchphrase used by AMPM, formed from the initials of the flavor "TANGERINE MANGO GUAVA STRAWBERRY." It was a distinctive feature of AMPM-exclusive products.

Since it is now sold as a regular product outside of AMPM, the "#TMGS" labeling has been dropped.

It contains 240mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 100mg of glucuronolactone, 50mg of inositol, guarana, and ginseng. The labeling has changed since it first launched in 2018, with the calorie count now listed as 20kcal. This change applies to all products in the U.S., not just the TANGERINE MANGO GUAVA STRAWBERRY.

Which design do you prefer? Personally, I much prefer the old design. The new one feels a bit lacking in personality.

This new big star design has a downside, though. Even though the star is large, you can’t tell the flavor of the drink just by looking at it.

Since the flavor name is written on the sides, you need to rotate the can in the store to see the flavor name and product name. Not many people will recognize the flavor just by the color of the star... I hope they’ll make it easier to identify, like the old design.

2023: A Slight Change in the Design

In 2023, Rockstar made a small design update across all its products. While it could be considered an improvement, it still has some issues.

The flavor name now appears at the top of the can, so it's easier to see when the cans are on display. However, when the flavor name is as long as "TANGERINE MANGO GUAVA STRAWBERRY," the font size has to be small, so it still isn’t very clear at first glance.
2023 Design Update
When I saw it in the store, it was still difficult to quickly read the flavor name. Knowing the star gradient color helps, but for someone unfamiliar with it, identifying the flavor would be tricky.

The big star logo still stands out too much, preventing the flavor’s character from shining through. It’s a shame, especially for a flavor as excellent as TANGERINE MANGO GUAVA STRAWBERRY, that the design doesn’t reflect that.
