When opened, a sweet cotton candy-like aroma gently wafts out. It's hard to imagine the flavor just from the smell... It’s called a "BERRYADE" flavor, but the scent doesn’t really give off that vibe. I wonder what it tastes like!?

Upon tasting, it has a smooth sweetness, followed by a mild tartness, giving a soft fruit candy flavor with no actual fruit juice. The "BERRYADE" flavor doesn’t come through much.

Why can't I taste the berry flavor...? It’s probably due to the poor balance of the fragrance.

The taste itself isn’t bad, and the smooth, gentle mouthfeel from the carbonation-free formula is pleasant, but if it’s called "BERRYADE," the berry scent should be stronger for it to be recognized as a berry flavor. Without knowing the product name, the aftertaste is just a bit of a vague "I don’t know what flavor this is" feeling.

Anyway, let’s forget about the berry flavor for now... Let’s just enjoy the taste of ROCKSTAR RECOVERY BERRYADE.

The aftertaste is light and doesn’t linger, but the mild, sweet cotton candy-like aroma persists, providing a high level of satisfaction. It’s easy to drink with its smooth, carbonation-free mouthfeel, and before I knew it, I finished the 473ml can.

When chilled with ice, the refreshment increases, and it becomes a fresher, lighter drink! The sweet, gentle flavor fades away, leaving a refreshing throat hit.

Since it’s originally a fruity flavor without much umami, I felt that the best way to enjoy it is to add plenty of ice and drink it like a flavored water, appreciating the cool and refreshing taste.

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR RECOVERY BERRYADE

Contains 160mg of caffeine, taurine, milk thistle, and zinc. It also contains 3% fruit juice, with lemon included.

It’s sugar-free, with only 10kcal, and being non-carbonated and low-stimulus, it’s perfect as the first drink in the morning. Personally, I feel that ROCKSTAR RECOVERY is one of the best energy drinks for the tired body after returning from overseas, and I find it very helpful every time.

Design of ROCKSTAR RECOVERY BERRYADE

The can features a pale lavender color with a large Big Star placed in the center.

The Recovery series uses a wavy, somewhat confusing design. I wonder what the point of this is... It’s not stylish, and it’s one of the most questionable designs in Rockstar’s 20+ year history.

At the bottom of the can, the catchphrase "REVIVE HYDRATE" from the 2024 Recovery series is included.

The caffeine content and non-carbonated feature are displayed on a silver panel-like design. The flavor label at the top of the can also features a similar panel design.

It’s unfortunate that the intended brand image or series vibe isn’t really conveyed clearly. (^_^;)
