Upon opening the can, a sweet cherry scent bursts out. The rich dark purple color is exactly what you'd expect from black cherry, making it quite tempting. Let’s take a sip.
As I take a sip, a sweet, smooth, and chemical-free cherry flavor reminiscent of Dr. Pepper spreads in my mouth. There’s no sourness, just a mellow, almost syrupy cherry flavor.
If you're expecting the taste of actual black cherry fruit, you might find the sweetness a bit odd. This flavor is likely very similar to both the original American version and the past Canadian version.
The rich, soft sweetness and Dr. Pepper-like black cherry flavor are unmistakable. I think you can already imagine what it tastes like just from that description!
Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR REVOLT BLACK CHERRY
It contains 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 100mg of glucuronolactone, 50mg of inositol, 4.5mg of ginseng, and 2.3mg of guarana. Originally, the ROCKSTAR REVOLT series in the United States was known for its high caffeine content of 240mg, but in Canada, due to caffeine regulations, it is limited to 160mg.
It contains 69g of sugar, which contributes to 280kcal, so you should be cautious of excessive sugar intake.

The black and gray camouflage pattern with red accents is the same as past versions, but the new design incorporates more red, creating a more beautiful color scheme compared to the previous design.
The contrast of red, white, and black around the section with the caffeine amount is visually striking, with the thin red lines adding a cool touch to the design.
With this type of design, it’s clear that necessary information is no longer visible from the front, making it a flawed design. However, the design concept itself is not bad.
If the large Big Star were reduced by about half and the layout adjusted accordingly, the design could have been improved. However, as of 2024, the design remains unchanged.

In Canada, the Big Star was placed diagonally in the design when the black cherry flavor was released. From this point, Rockstar’s design took a decline. The brand name and series name are placed on the left side, out of view from the front, and the flavor name is written below.
With this redesign, the Big Star has been centered, and the brand and series names are now placed on either side. As expected in Canada, where both English and French are official languages, the French term "REVOLUTION" is added to the right. This layout balances better with the Rockstar logo.
Canada follows its own unique path with Rockstar flavors, and with the almost non-functioning Rockstar Canada PR, it's a fascinating country where accurate information is often hard to come by. I highly recommend visiting Canada to experience the unique evolution of Rockstar Canada.
