This is a review of ROCKSTAR ROASTED Caramel from Rockstar's coffee energy drink series. It was released in the U.S. and later in Canada as a classic product.

After being acquired by PepsiCo, the entire coffee energy drink series was discontinued, and the ROCKSTAR ROASTED Caramel, which had been circulating for many years, is no longer available.

When I opened it, I could only smell the sweet caramel and milk, and I thought, "Where is the coffee element?" It immediately reminded me of the classic American coffee energy drinks. From the smell alone, I could pretty much guess what the taste would be like (^_^;)

When I drank it, as expected... it was very sweet.
I could faintly taste a coffee flavor, but mostly it was the sweetness of caramel mixed with milk, enhancing the sweetness. It's definitely a classic sweet caramel coffee energy drink.

Caramel-flavored drinks tend to have a rich taste, but ROCKSTAR ROASTED Caramel doesn't leave that heavy feeling in the mouth. The milk really helps balance the sweetness and the overall flavor.

Chilled, it becomes even more delicious

When chilled, it becomes surprisingly easy to drink.
Drinking it at room temperature would be a pointless challenge for coffee-based energy drinks (^_^;)

The sweet caramel flavor becomes a little lighter, and the sweetness of the milk stands out. When consumed at the optimal temperature, the aftertaste is clean, and I felt that the milk wasn't unpleasant. It's a surprisingly easy-to-drink sweet coffee energy drink (*´艸｀*)

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR ROASTED Caramel

It contains 225mg of caffeine, which is on the higher end. Other typical energy-boosting ingredients are also included.
Additionally, it contains nearly 6g of protein, indicating that a lot of milk is used (likely a considerable amount). If you're curious, check the protein content on a carton of milk to get an idea.

The can is 16oz, but it only contains 15oz. Is this the right amount to shake? It feels a bit small.
That said, Rockstar's coffee energy drinks have never had solid particles settling, unlike Monster, so it might actually be better if it's easier to shake.
