When poured into a glass, it has a sweet, milky white coffee drink color. At this point, it’s already fully showcasing its protein drink qualities. It’s quite thick, so make sure to shake it properly. There are numerous solid particles at the bottom...

The taste doesn’t have the usual sweetness or milkiness, but rather, it’s the typical cookie and cream flavor of protein powder. It has a unique sweet and spicy aftertaste, but without the gooey, sweet milk flavor, so it’s still "somewhat" easy to drink for someone not used to protein drinks.

For those who’ve never had a protein-based cookie and cream drink, it’s like a 100% pure mix of crushed cookies and cream, not just cookies dissolved in water, to make it easier to understand Σ(´∀｀；)

I’ve had several of these, and the taste doesn’t change much whether it’s at room temperature or chilled. It remains rich and heavy throughout. Even when served ice-cold, it still has the weight and sweet-spicy taste of swallowing cookies. I don’t particularly enjoy cookie and cream flavors in protein drinks, so I didn’t feel like repeating with Rockstar's liquid version.

It contains 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 100mg of glucuronolactone, 50mg of carnitine, ginseng, guarana, and 25g of protein. The ingredients are quite luxurious for an energy drink.

Rockstar became one of the earliest big stars in America. Around the same time, the Sport series and Blackout were released. These three products were the first to make Rockstar a big name in the U.S.

The design of Rockstar Sport is very simple, and you can tell it’s a product intended for sports, and the inclusion of 25g of protein makes it a practical energy drink, but when you hold it and think about drinking it, it doesn’t quite give off that cool vibe.

Since Rockstar doesn’t do much promotion for each of its series, there’s a lack of an image or identity for the consumer to connect with the product.

If this was on a store shelf, would you know what it is?

The Rockstar Sport series is a prime example of a failed design when it comes to making a product a big hit. Just looking at the stars, you can’t even tell what flavor or what it is. It’s hard to recognize in stores.

This can be considered the representative product of Rockstar’s “just release it” approach. It didn’t become a long-lasting product, and with a bit more improvement in the packaging, it might have been better. But as it stands, it’s now discontinued.

With a silver top and blue tab, the design is simple, but it’s nice that they’ve added a themed color tab without cutting corners.
