In fact, there was a predecessor series, "FIRST START," which was released earlier in the UK and Germany. The "START FRESH" series is the Australian version with the same concept as the UK and German releases, proposing "Energy charge for the morning."

Australia's Rockstar sometimes customizes the series name, and "START FRESH" is one of those examples.

When you take a sip, it tastes like drinking sweet fruit candy. There is no real fruitiness, and the flavor feels cheap. There's no fruitiness, no chemical taste—just an ordinary guava candy juice. With this taste, it's hard to tell the difference from a low-priced guava juice you can buy for under 100 yen.

Although it's part of the "morning energy charge" series, I don't think I would want to drink this flavor in the morning...

Since I had already tried the Rockstar series in the UK and Germany, the cheap flavor of the Australian version stood out even more.

Since the base flavor of guava is the same as the German version of the START series, I tried comparing it with the Australian Island Fruit version. Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR START FRESH ISLAND FRUIT FLAVOR

It contains 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 50mg of inositol, along with ginseng and guarana. These are standard energy ingredients. While the flavor didn't have any fruitiness, there is 5% apple juice included.

The yellow big star and purple combination is commonly used in the Rockstar series for guava-flavored drinks.

This time it's "ISLAND FRUIT FLAVOR" rather than "guava," but based on the can color, it was easy to imagine it was created as a guava flavor. And indeed, that's the flavor it had.

By the way, the Island Fruit flavor I reviewed this time had both a regular silver top and a black top. When placed side by side, the black top blends perfectly with the can design, making it look sharper.
