The Rockstar Vodka series was revamped in 2019, introducing a new flavor—Silver Ice. Its exterior design follows the style of Germany’s Pure Zero Silver Ice, and the contents are nearly identical to the German version of Silver Ice. (The North American and German versions of Silver Ice have completely different flavors.)

Flavor of ROCKSTAR VODKA SILVER ICE

Opening the can releases a strong lime scent. From the design (German version), it was clear that this wouldn’t taste like the North American Silver Ice.

The drink itself has a color similar to Pocari Sweat, which is typical of the North American Silver Ice. It has a white, beautiful cloudiness to it.

Taking a sip, the citrusy fruitiness and lime aroma fill your mouth, gradually blending with the sweetness of limeade and the smooth taste of vodka... In short, it’s quite delicious (●´ω｀●).

The lime aroma plays a key role here, adding a refreshing accent to the drink and giving it a nice, crisp finish. The flavor itself is sweet limeade + vodka, making for a refreshing drink.

By the way, North American Rockstar Silver Ice has a lychee flavor, while this vodka version has a lime flavor. The lime-flavored Silver Ice is closer to the German Pure Zero (more details later).

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR VODKA SILVER ICE

The 2019 Rockstar Vodka re-release clearly states on the label that it is "not an energy drink."

Since this isn’t an energy drink, it doesn't contain caffeine or other energy-boosting ingredients. It’s simply an alcoholic beverage under the Rockstar brand.

There’s no sugar, and the drink has zero energy components. It’s just a regular vodka drink.

Even after its re-release, it retains the classic Straight Star design. For those who drank Rockstar in the U.S. during the Straight Star era, it feels nostalgic, and I actually quite like this stable design.

The Vodka Silver Ice is the only one without the textured surface. It might have felt more premium if it had that, but the Rockstar Vodka design, being a Straight Star, has its own striking appeal, and personally, I like it.
