This is the Tropical Orange flavor from the Rockstar XDurance series, which was sold in Europe.

The cool design leads you to expect a bold and exciting flavor, but it actually has a refreshing, sports drink-like taste that's quite mild.

The moment I opened the can, a refreshing orange scent burst out. It's refreshing, but the fragrance is strong, so the flavor seems promising.

When poured into a glass, it has a clear orange color, giving it the typical sports drink vibe. The carbonation is also mild with weak bubbles.

Upon tasting, the flavor is lighter than expected, with orange mixed with hints of mango, guava, passion fruit, and other tropical fruits. It’s not a sweet tropical orange; rather, it’s more citrusy and tropical. The taste is overall quite mild, so this isn’t the kind of energy drink to savor and enjoy fruit flavors with.

It’s easy to drink due to the mild carbonation, making it feel like a sports drink that can be consumed before or after exercise for hydration. After drinking, there is a slight residue left in the mouth, and the citric acid gives a lingering tartness in the throat, so whether to drink it during exercise might be a matter of personal preference.

It’s not the type of drink to enjoy a rich flavor or full-bodied taste. Since it’s on the lighter side, chilling it can make the taste and fragrance fade, making it feel cheaper. I’m not sure if I would pay around 200 yen for this... Personally, I don’t think I’d go for a second can.

It contains 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 50mg of ginseng, and 50mg of guarana. The ingredient composition is fairly standard.
Depending on the country, ginseng may not be included, and sometimes BCAAs are added.

The orange can with black accents features the XDURANCE design, and it's undeniably cool.

The black top and bottom give it a solid feel, and it exudes a coolness that goes beyond just being colorful, which I really like. This review is based on the Tropical Orange from Czechia, but it was also sold in many countries such as the UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, and Slovakia.

As of 2019, this version of the XDURANCE series in Europe has been discontinued, and a new XDURANCE series targeting high caffeine and fitness drinks launched in the US, starting in the UK.
