The energy drink series from the supplement brand RYSE FUEL has collaborated with the iconic American orange juice brand "SunnyD," which was first released in 1963. The result is the RYSE FUEL SUNNYD TANGY ORIGINAL.

It was surprising to see a collaboration between a traditional national orange juice brand and a new generation fitness brand. I’m curious to see how SunnyD has been transformed into an energy drink.

When opened, a fresh, juicy orange scent bursts out, reminiscent of the fruit's vibrant aroma. Upon pouring it into a glass, I was surprised to find it completely colorless! While it's a common feature in fitness energy drinks, I must admit that it would have been more exciting if it had the bright orange color typical of SUNNYD. Let's try it.

Upon tasting, the drink has a smooth sweetness with a lingering tang, along with a slight artificial aftertaste. It has a refreshing orange flavor that really stands out.

Since RYSE FUEL SUNNYD contains carbonation, it offers a more refreshing sensation than the original, non-carbonated SUNNYD, especially in terms of aroma, mouthfeel, and overall crispness.

Despite being sugar-free, it’s so tasty that it rivals or even surpasses the original SUNNYD in terms of flavor and the perfect balance between taste and fragrance. I rate it highly.

I believe this flavor has turned out to be the perfect one for those who love classic orange flavors like SunnyD.

It contains 200mg of caffeine, 500mg of taurine, and 500mg of choline bitartrate.

Additionally, SunnyD’s trademark "100% Vitamin C" is carried over into the RYSE FUEL formula, with each can providing 90mg of Vitamin C. This is a unique feature exclusive to the SUNNYD collaboration, which isn't found in other RYSE FUEL drinks.

I really like how the design seamlessly incorporates elements from the original SunnyD into the RYSE FUEL branding.

On the front of the can, the TANGY ORIGINAL fruit image is prominently displayed, along with the "100% Vitamin C" label, which is another signature of SunnyD.

If you've ever had SunnyD, seeing the logo and cut fruit on the can immediately reminds you of the original product. It's a truly iconic collaboration design, and no one might have expected SunnyD to team up with an energy drink brand.

Many energy drink brands entering the market from the fitness supplement space excel at using fonts and colors to create a clean, polished, and easy-to-read design. The RYSE FUEL series also does an excellent job with font size, color choices, and white space, making it a visually appealing design that I personally enjoy.
