When you take a sip, the artificial sweetness and umami stand out, and surprisingly, the artificial sweetener flavor disappears, making it hard to believe it's sugar-free.

The flavor is a bit lighter than the original, with a sense of transparency added, but it's almost identical to the sweet, artificial orange flavor of Spider Original. It's amazing how they've achieved this.

Typically, when original products that focus on real fruit flavors and umami are made sugar-free, they tend to lose quality. However, Spider never aimed for real fruit in the first place, so it's no surprise that they could achieve a sugar-free version with no awkwardness, maintaining the cheap, powdered juice-like flavor. Though labeled as the "LIGHTER" series, there is no sense of thinness or lightness, and the aftertaste remains pleasantly with the fragrance, providing a satisfying experience. It's a high-quality sugar-free option. The taste is a cheap orange flavor, though, so preference will vary. I imagine there are some who wouldn’t want to drink this type of orange flavor.

Contains 240mg of caffeine, 1000mg of taurine, 25mg of carnitine, 25mg of glutamine, and 25mg of ginseng. It's rare for a low-cost energy drink to contain such a high amount of caffeine.

Design of LIGHTER SPIDER ORIGINAL SUGAR FREE

Unlike Spider Original, which had a black base and orange spider, the Lighter Spider's main color is orange. This color doesn’t immediately suggest it’s a sugar-free product.

Once you try it, you’ll find the flavor is strong enough that you won’t even notice it's sugar-free, making this color choice quite fitting. In fact, not going with white or silver—colors typically associated with sugar-free products—was the right decision.

The background spider web design was part of the old design. Starting in 2019, the Spider Energy Drink series switched to a simpler design with just the spider. It's a shame...
