Opening the can, a strong nutty aroma hits, and unsurprisingly, there is no coffee scent. I was a bit concerned about what would happen if Starbucks' rich, creamy flavor was mixed with this strong hazelnut aroma... (^_^;)

As you can see, the color is almost the same as previous Starbucks coffee energy drinks, a bright shade.

However, when I took a sip, I was pleasantly surprised—it doesn't have the usual creamy heaviness or sweetness of milk. Instead, there's a pleasant hazelnut roasty flavor and depth, making it very easy to drink and pleasantly defying my expectations.

The nutty flavor doesn't overpower the drink, and the balance between taste and aroma is just right. You can even slightly taste the coffee, with Starbucks' signature sweetness subdued. If it were any sweeter, the hazelnut flavor might become hard to detect, I think.

By drinking while also savoring the aroma (yes, inhaling the scent as you drink), the intense hazelnut scent perfectly matches the taste, offering a different kind of deliciousness compared to Starbucks' other coffee energy drinks.

Actually, it's surprisingly easy to drink at room temperature (*´艸｀*). After chilling it thoroughly, the refreshing sensation increases, and it's even better. The sweetness is just right for me, making it really easy to drink. If you don't mind the hazelnut flavor and aroma, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

This drink contains 145mg of caffeine, 2000mg of maltodextrin, 1800mg of taurine, 180mg of inositol, 325mg of ginseng, and 90mg of guarana. Compared to other energy drinks, I think it’s quite well-packed.

Delicious, but 16oz Might Be a Little Too Much

Surprisingly, Starbucks Doubleshot Energy Hazelnut is really enjoyable. However, the 16oz size is a bit much (^_^;)

The reason is that the flavor is rather flat from start to finish and a bit rich. If you could enjoy whipped cream or other toppings with it, it might be different.

Compared to other Starbucks energy drinks, this one is definitely easier to drink, but unless you really love sweet, creamy flavors, not many people will be able to drink it all the way through with a smile (；´∀｀)
