TIGER MAX CLASSIC is a version of Poland’s top brand, TIGER, with 50% more caffeine than the original.

At first, I thought it was just an energy drink with more caffeine, but what’s interesting is that the flavor has been altered as well. By the way, the TIGER series includes several variations based on the original, each offering a unique taste experience.

It’s likely that they wanted to make the increased caffeine more noticeable by adjusting the flavor in a way that differs from the original.

This subtle chemical taste may not be noticeable unless you're a regular drinker of the original TIGER.

On the other hand, if you're used to the original, you'll likely notice that it's not just more caffeine, but also a distinct flavor difference. Whether or not you continue to buy it may depend more on whether you like or dislike the chemical flavor rather than the ingredients.

The caffeine has been increased by 50%, but it's not excessively high. However, starting January 1, 2024, Poland introduced regulations limiting the caffeine content for energy drinks sold to minors, which has made this product unavailable for sale to them. By 2024, TIGER series drinks have been released with caffeine content within the new limits, and previous products have been discontinued.

In the future, it will be interesting to see whether TIGER MAX CLASSIC will continue to be produced for adults but be unavailable to minors, or if they will stop production to maintain the brand for all ages. When I visited Poland in July 2024, I didn’t see it in major convenience stores, only in supermarkets. It seems that stores may reduce orders due to the added burden of age verification.
