This is a review of TIGER NAKED LINE EXOTIC, an exotic fruit flavor from the TIGER NAKED LINE series, which launched six flavors simultaneously in April 2024.

It is sugar-free and contains 20% fruit juice. What sets TIGER NAKED LINE apart from other series is the caffeine content, which is 160mg.

In Poland, a regulation on caffeine content came into effect on January 1, 2024, which led to a reduction in the caffeine content of most energy drinks. Many now contain only 14mg per 100ml.

The newly launched TIGER NAKED LINE, which hit the shelves in April 2024, contains 32mg of caffeine per 100ml, which is the standard caffeine content from before 2023. While it cannot be sold to people under 18, this series is meant for those who want an energy drink with the traditional caffeine content.

Upon opening the can, a sweet and light cherry-like fruit punch aroma spreads. The color is also a bright punch-like hue, but the flavor is said to be a tropical exotic fruit blend. Let’s give it a try.

When you take a sip, a mix of tropical fruits such as sweet and sour passion fruit, papaya, mango, dragon fruit, and lime unfolds in your mouth.

Since it contains no sugar, it doesn't have the rich and dense taste of fruit pulp. Instead, it offers a refreshing, crisp sensation with a slight sourness and a very faint astringency in the aftertaste.

There’s no unpleasant aftertaste from artificial sweeteners, and the refreshing citrus tropical fruit flavor can be enjoyed at room temperature, chilled, or with ice. However, if you're someone who craves more fruitiness, you may find it a bit lacking since it doesn’t contain any sugar.

The can features a simple design with a mirror-like pink finish, a white background, and a large TIGER logo. The tiger silhouette is subtly incorporated. The flavor isn’t depicted on the can, and it could be considered a minimalist design that uses the can color to distinguish between flavors.

While the design doesn’t feel particularly special, upon reflection, I realized that in Poland, there haven’t been many established flavors beyond the original and sugar-free options. With the full 2024 redesign, they probably wanted to introduce a classic product line with a variety of flavors.

In countries like the Czech Republic and Slovakia, there have been simple, unadorned designs for classic product lines, which are still available today. It makes sense that in Poland, the brand wanted to offer a consistent product line with zero sugar, fruit juice, and caffeine content comparable to other competitors.

On the side of the can, from top to bottom, you'll find the caffeine content of "32mg/100ml," along with flavor icons and ingredient icons listed vertically.

The TIGER NAKED LINE series was the first energy drink released by TIGER after the caffeine content regulation started on January 1, 2024. Most of TIGER’s other products were revamped to reduce caffeine content and avoid regulation.

Since most competitors haven’t altered their products to comply with the new regulations, it might have been necessary for TIGER to offer a classic series like TIGER NAKED LINE to prevent being overlooked due to lower caffeine content.
