In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Sweet and Sour Pomegranate-like Flavor
The liquid is brown, like cola, but the scent gives off a sweet and sour fruity note.
When you take a sip, the sweet and sour fruity flavor of pomegranate spreads across your palate. It's not too sweet, with a pleasant fruity tang, and the pomegranate aroma lingers.
There are no lingering aftertastes, and it’s an easy-to-drink type without heaviness, but the scent is strong, creating a pomegranate fruitiness. That said, the level of fruitiness isn't extremely high. The pomegranate flavor is perfectly captured in the aroma, making it neither cheap nor artificial, which is a notable characteristic.
It’s easy to see why V ENERGY GRAPHITE, initially released in New Zealand, was later launched as a collaborative product in Australia—it’s delicious.
Energy Ingredients of V ENERGY GRAPHITE
Caffeine: 160mg, Taurine: 2000mg, Guarana: 600mg, Maca: 25mg
In addition to the standard V ENERGY ingredients, V ENERGY GRAPHITE contains Maca. The Maca and Guarana components are color-coded, and the playful representation of this unique format is interesting. It's worth noting that adding unique ingredients to the standard energy components is rare in the V ENERGY series.
Design of V ENERGY GRAPHITE
I think the name "Graphite" is cool and has great style, but it’s a bit of a shame that the design isn’t sleek and refined. It feels a little overdone.
The phrase "Maximum Energy" likely refers to the addition of Maca and a higher amount of Taurine, giving it an energy-boosting impression. This kind of “stronger version” labeling hasn’t been seen in the V ENERGY series before.
By the way, the black top and black tab are a first for the V ENERGY series, featuring a color top and color tab. It gives the design a special feel.
