The new 2015 VENOM ENERGY release, featuring a low-calorie strawberry apple flavor. Both the image and color have undergone a dramatic change, making the low-calorie aspect much more apparent.

Upon opening, the scent is not that strong, and if you didn't know the flavor name, you'd probably be unsure whether it's strawberry or apple, just a sweet smell (；´∀｀)

When poured into a glass, the bright red liquid is just as you’d expect from strawberry! The scent isn’t overpowering, so it's hard to tell if the taste will match the intensity of the color or be a lighter, low-calorie type...

Upon tasting, it’s surprisingly sweet, like drinking strawberry syrup, and the low-calorie version still manages to maintain a satisfying level of richness. The fruitiness is lacking, and it’s more of an artificial strawberry flavor. Perhaps it's better described as "made to taste like strawberry."

It’s similar to the extra-strength Black Ice, but with less acidity and no real fruitiness. Even though the flavor is supposed to be "strawberry apple," the apple flavor is almost nonexistent LOL.

The scent is weak, and the aftertaste doesn’t linger, making it easy to drink. At first, the strawberry flavor feels stronger than you'd expect from a low-calorie drink, but as you continue, the taste of artificial sweeteners becomes more apparent. It's a bit like Monster's Low Carb or Ab Zero. The flavor is decently rich, and the satisfaction is high, but the artificial sweetener taste is there. You can’t help but feel like, "Oh, yeah, this is low-calorie," every time you drink it. This is definitely a matter of personal preference.

In a low-calorie flavor, it’s probably difficult to get the full fruitiness of strawberry with its sweetness and acidity, but personally, I wish I could taste more of that (^_^;) The regular Mango version was so incredibly delicious that I have to be a bit stricter in my judgment here LOL.

At 473ml, it’s quite low-calorie at just 20kcal. It uses erythritol as the main artificial sweetener, which is said to mimic the taste of sugar.

The energy blend includes 160mg of caffeine, along with taurine, carnitine, ginseng, and guarana, which are common in the VENOM series.

From Snake to Spider

The dark and gloomy image has completely transformed into a fresh white design. This new low-calorie series does not carry on the snake-themed names and instead features a white can with a "spider eye" motif and a rough texture. (Later, it will just feature the "eye" alone.)

If the motif is a spider, it might have been more interesting if they made it a "poisonous spider" series for the low-calorie line, but maybe keeping it simple with just the flavor names is easier to understand (笑).
