In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Ultimate Chemical Flavor Intensity
The color clearly screams "don't drink me." As expected, energy drinks should be poured into a glass so you can enjoy the color of the contents as well. This blue-green hue seems unnatural, so what kind of taste will it have!?
When I take a sip, I'm hit with a strong sourness and a harsh chemical-like flavor, with a lingering medicinal scent that stays in my nose.
Among chemical flavors, this one stands out for its intensity. Even among the many energy drinks I've tried, this one has one of the strongest medicinal scents, creating an almost automatic rejection.
It’s supposed to have a blueberry flavor, but honestly, I don’t sense much of the blueberry at all. The fruity taste is nonexistent, and all I get is an overpowering chemical sensation. To be honest, I’m left wondering if it’s even safe to drink.
The smell is so intense that it completely kills any desire to take another sip.
I’m curious how well VOLT ENERGY BLUE will be accepted by fans of chemical flavors.
Energy Ingredients of VOLT ENERGY BLUE
It contains 94.6mg of caffeine, 1892mg of taurine, and 1135mg of glucuronolactone. The caffeine amount seems relatively low for a 473ml can.
Design of VOLT ENERGY BLUE
The design features a turquoise blue that matches the color of the drink, with an overall blue color scheme.
Although there's a blueberry mark on the can, it does not contain any blueberry juice.
Since the flavor isn’t remotely blueberry-like and instead has a sour, chemical taste, if you buy this based on the design expecting a blueberry flavor, you’ll be in for a disappointment. If you find it in Mexico, there's no need to buy it. Σ(´∀`;)
