A summary of ZONe's ingredients and how much you can drink
ZONe Energy Drink is constantly making waves on social media and the internet with its new releases. Although it is a domestic energy drink brand, we want to examine what happens if you drink too much, and how much is safe to consume.
To give you the conclusion upfront: If you're drinking anything other than ZONe Original, you don’t need to worry about the caffeine content. However, all of the ZONe series, except for the sugar-free versions, contain an unusually high amount of sugar. So, it's best to stick to one can per day.
If you are someone who is active in sports, walks a lot for work, or does physical labor, you may be able to drink two cans without worrying too much about the sugar content. The main thing to watch out for with ZONe is "the amount of sugar."
Surprisingly Low Caffeine Content in the ZONe Series
ZONe’s Original flavor increased its caffeine content to 150mg when it was updated to Ver. 2.0.0, but all other flavors contain only 75mg per can. Even though it comes in a 500ml can, this is less than Red Bull's 80mg in a 250ml can.
So, for flavors other than ZONe Original, there's no need to worry too much about excessive caffeine intake.
By the way, the standard safe daily caffeine intake worldwide is considered to be 400mg, so with ZONe Original, you could drink up to two and a half cans (1.25L), and with the 75mg versions, you could drink up to five cans (2.5L) without any health concerns.
In reality, it’s unlikely you'd drink this much, and drinking more than that doesn’t immediately mean you’ll feel unwell, as it really depends on the individual. So, if you're consuming about two cans of ZONe a day, you likely don’t need to worry about your caffeine intake.

With ZONe, You Should Worry More About Sugar Intake than Caffeine
While ZONe tends to have lower caffeine content, the overall message is that it contains an unusually high amount of carbohydrates, or sugar.
We’ve created a ranking of energy drinks with high sugar content, which includes "the worst energy drinks for your health." You might be surprised to find ZONe at the top of the list. ZONe contains a surprisingly high amount of sugar. I’ve never understood why it had so much sugar since the release of ZONe Beta.
If you only look at the caffeine content, drinking a few cans in a day wouldn't be a big issue, but with sugar, it's better to limit yourself to one can a day. This is because the WHO recommends limiting sugar intake to 50g per day, ideally 25g for better health. ZONe exceeds the WHO’s recommended amount in just one can Σ(´∀`;)

With ZONe, There’s No Need to Worry About Overconsumption, but It’s Best to Stick to One Can a Day
The risks of acute caffeine poisoning or other immediate dangers from drinking too much are not very high.
However, considering the long-term risks of chronic diseases, drinking multiple cans every day could gradually increase your risk. It's safer to limit your intake to about one can a day.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
