Released on December 20, 2022, the "ZONe Revenge" is a collaboration product with Tokyo Revengers. There are four designs featuring four characters from Tokyo Revengers, and it's a limited-edition product.

The flavor is ginger ale, which I personally don't favor much... But how does ZONe Revenge's ginger ale flavor turn out!?

When opening the can, a faint ginger ale aroma fills the air. The color of the drink matches perfectly with the gold of the can, creating a beautiful ginger gold hue... Now, let’s take a sip.

Upon tasting, the flavor is a mildly sweet, fruity ginger ale with gentle stimulation. There are no strong aftertastes, and the ginger’s kick only lightly stimulates the nose, with no spiciness. The mild carbonation gives a soft burst of ginger scent that lightly passes through the nose.

Despite ZONe’s usual heavy sugar content, it’s not overly sweet and presents a well-balanced, mild, sweet ginger ale flavor. The spiciness of the ginger is comparatively subdued, making it a ginger ale flavor that almost anyone can enjoy.

Not Suitable for Fans of Spicy Ginger Ale

If you prefer "spicy," "strong carbonation," and "intense stimulation" when it comes to ginger ale, ZONe REVENGE will be the opposite of what you expect. For those who want a strong ginger kick and tingling sensation, it might be better to buy regular, more intense ginger ales at half the price of ZONe REVENGE.

After conducting a poll on Twitter, it seems many people prefer the spicy version of ginger ale. I’m curious to see what those who enjoy the spicier version think of ZONe REVENGE!

Enjoy the Fruity Sweetness Without Focusing on the Ginger

While the flavor lacks the depth of sweetness and the sharpness of ginger, leading to a rather flat taste without much impact, the mild, fruity flavor can still be quite enjoyable if you drink it without focusing on the ginger. Additionally, pouring it into a glass makes the mouthfeel smoother and more pleasant.

Drinking it with ice enhances the fruity sweetness and makes it even smoother. If it weren’t a winter release, I’d prefer to drink it with ice every time.

By the way, many ginger-flavored drinks in Japan have been much spicier and more intense in the past, so if you drink ZONe Revenge with that expectation, it might not be what you were hoping for. However, in recent years, energy drinks with a strong emphasis on spiciness have nearly disappeared, with most options leaning toward a mild, lightly flavored ginger ale.

ZONe REVENGE contains 75mg of caffeine and 500mg of arginine. It follows the standard energy ingredients of the ZONe series. Despite the smooth sweetness, it contains 67g of sugar, which is quite a lot.

This Tokyo Revengers collaboration can isn't directly printed on the can but is a film wrap type.

ZONe Revenge, while not as intense as most energy drinks with the expected punch, offers a mild and easy-to-drink flavor, making it more approachable for Tokyo Revengers fans who are new to energy drinks.
